Fine Arts for Kids Fund
In 2014, BC Foster Parents Association received two generous donations to support the establishment of the Fine Arts for Kids fund. This fund is available to BCFPA member foster parents in order to assist them with the costs of involving the children and youth in their care in the arts.
Who can apply
You are a current BCFPA member foster parent.
The child or youth in your care must be between the ages of 6 and 18 and must be in your care at the time of application.
You have receipts for lessons or supplies that can accompany your application form.
The Fine Arts for Kids fund will cover costs related to a child/youth’s participation in arts programs and activities including—but not limited to—art supplies, art lessons, dance shoes, costumes, musical instrument rentals and purchase, drum making, carving, fabric arts, and regalia making supplies. Please note that the fund is for support of extra-curricular programs and not school district art program activities.
When to apply
Applications will be accepted between September 15 and December 15 of each year. You may send one application per year per family.
Amount of bursary
BCFPA’s Board of Directors will identify annual awards based on funding available. The amount and value of bursaries may fluctuate annually.
How to submit your application
You can submit your application in one of three ways; online, by mail, or by email.
By online form:
208-20641 Logan Avenue
Langley, BC V3A 7R3
Once the application has been reviewed, BCFPA will notify the candidate by email or phone of the status of the application. Cheques are issued payable to the applicant and sent to the applicant’s mailing address. Please allow four weeks from the date that you receive the notification for your cheque to arrive.
