If you are currently enrolled in PRIDE training, MCFD is advising that you complete all outstanding training requirements by August 25, 2026. Any training that is not completed by that date will not transfer to the new system, and outstanding requirements will need to be completed through a new training program.
MCFD anticipates launching LINK (Learn, Include, Nurture, Know), a new caregiver training program, on September 8, 2026. LINK will replace PRIDE and is intended to provide trauma-informed, culturally safe caregiver training that includes information specific to British Columbia.
What You Need to Know
If you are currently enrolled in PRIDE, please complete all outstanding training requirements by August 25, 2026.
Training progress that is not completed by August 25 will not transfer to the new system.
Resource Workers will be able to register caregivers with outstanding training requirements in LINK following the transition.
New caregiver referrals received over the coming weeks are expected to have training registrations processed after LINK launches in September.

We recognize that this change is being implemented on a short timeline and may create uncertainty for some caregivers. The BC Foster Parent Association (BCFPA) understands that many caregivers are actively working through training requirements, and we encourage anyone currently enrolled in PRIDE to review their progress and complete outstanding requirements as soon as possible.
