Connect 2 Thrive is an event for youth in and from government care in Metro Vancouver (age 17 to 27) to learn about helpful community services, connect with peers and supports, and have fun. Youth are welcome to attend with their support workers, adult allies, or foster parents/caregivers.

At C2T, youth will have the chance to connect with programs and services for:

  • Education
  • Employment
  • Food
  • Health
  • Housing
  • Money & finances
  • Recreation
  • Substance use
  • & many more!

The event also includes free food and lots of other free goodies, interactive activities, and a wide range of resources to help youth during their transition to adulthood. Youth aged 17 to 20 and about to/recently aged out of care will be eligible for a transition kit — up to $225 worth of household items that youth can pick at the event (through online shopping stations), and that will be delivered directly to them following the event.
